It was indeed a subtle and smart robbery.
I did not even realise my loss at that point of time. It was until I needed to open my wallet, to check on my cash balance. It was shockingly empty.
I remembered I had notes of tens and fives, amounting to an approximate fifty dollars. That was not all the smart-ass robber took. I originally placed my wallet above a small container. Both items were positioned on my desk, together with an array of assorted personal items. The small container contained a hundred and fifty dollars, part of my pocket money for the month. All gone.
By the time I came to a general consensus that I have been robbed and not of sheer carelessness that I misplaced my money, the despicable robber had already fled away with his prized victory: two hundred dollars.
I refused to believe it at first. But it was crystal clear: I let a stranger inside my home, left him alone for a mere moment in my room, and upon returning, all he wanted was to make a getaway, making lame excuses that he needed to go urgently. Before leaving, he promised that he would call again. I highly doubt I would receive that call anytime soon.
It was an undeniable mistake. I should have never left him alone in my room after our little intimacy. I had barely gone for a minute, and he swiftly carried out his unspeakable act. Professionally I might add, almost like he did this a hundred times before.
For the rest of the night, I was lost in thoughts... The sex and lies that is of the sweet swindler.
I pray a vermin like himself gets his just deserts.
